REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass an Air Force background check for access to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Patrick Space Force Base, and other government restricted areas.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as project demands require.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Structural BIM Manager - Merritt Island, FL or Columbus, OH

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed structural drawings for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, cold-formed steel, and aluminum structures across all market sectors.
  • Manage and control the BIM environment, ensuring seamless integration and providing clash detection support.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients to deliver project objectives.
  • Conduct onsite assessments and field observations to support project execution and quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a structural designer and drafter in a structural engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality drawings and models.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in creating Revit families and coordinating with linked Revit models for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Basic knowledge of Tekla Structures and SketchUp to support diverse project needs.
  • Familiarity with other disciplines, including architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for all market sectors.
  • Perform both structural design and analysis calculations for hot-rolled steel, concrete, masonry, timber, cold-formed steel, and aluminum structures.
  • Interact with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients.
  • Provide direct onsite engineering assessments and field observations.
  • Resolve design and construction conflicts through construction administration.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional experience as an engineer with a focus in design or build of structural infrastructure.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Code (IBC).
  • Experience with Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar design software.
  • Experience with Tekla Structural Designer, RAM Elements, STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, Etabs, or similar analysis software.
  • Advanced Structural Engineering: FEA, post-tensioning, progressive collapse, blast analysis/design.
  • Knowledge of processes of governing permitting agencies such as building departments and/or environmental agencies.
  • Understanding of other disciplines such as architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental.
  • Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
