WORKING AT OMNI STRUCTURAL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for all market sectors
• Perform both structural design and analysis calculations for hot-rolled steel, concrete, masonry, timber, cold-formed steel, and aluminum structures
• Interact with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients
• Provide direct onsite engineering assessments and field observations
• Resolve design and construction conflicts through construction administration
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering
• 15+ years of professional experience as an engineer with a focus in design or build of structural infrastructure
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Code (IBC)
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
• Experience with RAM Elements, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, Etabs, or similar analysis software
• Advanced Structural Engineering: FEA, post-tensioning, progressive collapse, blast analysis/design
• Knowledge of processes of governing permitting agencies such as building departments and/or environmental agencies
• Understanding of other disciplines such as architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental
• Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor management
• Sound communication skills

• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral SFS and Patrick SFB
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

• 10+ years of professional experience as an software developer 
• Sound communication skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a structural engineering designer
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with SketchUp
• Understanding of other disciplines such as architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental
• Sound communication skills

• Preparation of construction documents

• Provide direct onsite assessments and field observations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student with a concentration in structural engineering
• Excellent academic record
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

• Understanding of other disciplines such as: architecture, site civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, fire protection, geotechnical, surveying, and environmental
